This opportunity is designed for passionate individuals who want to transform their love for nature into a professional career. Successful candidates will undergo an intensive four-week training program in February 2026 before being deployed to world-class locations.


The Path to Becoming an Asilia Resident Guide

Selected trainees will be placed in some of Tanzania’s most prestigious conservation areas. As a Resident Guide, you won’t just drive; you will be an educator, a storyteller, and a conservation ambassador.

Potential Placement Locations:

  • Serengeti & Ngorongoro: The heart of the Great Migration.
  • Tarangire: Famous for its massive elephant herds and baobab trees.
  • Rubondo Island: A unique aquatic and forest ecosystem on Lake Victoria.
  • Ruaha & Nyerere (Selous): Wild, remote landscapes in Southern Tanzania.

Candidate Requirements

Asilia is looking for personality and potential as much as technical skill. They seek “storytellers” who can provide guests with an unforgettable experience.

  • Language: Must speak English fluently. Proficiency in other international languages is a significant advantage.
  • Driving: Must possess a valid Class C driving license (new system).
  • Age: Candidates must be 35 years or younger.
  • Flexibility: Genuine willingness to live and work in remote, camp-based environments for long periods.
  • Personality: Outgoing, positive, honest, and a strong team player.
