Role Overview: The Modern Tutor
As a Tutor at TPI, you will be responsible for more than just lecturing. You will manage a hybrid educational environment focused on practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Blended Instruction: Facilitate learning in both face-to-face classrooms and via the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Practical Mentorship: Guide students through lab sessions, coding exercises, media production field tasks, or clinical dental procedures.
- Engagement: Moderate online discussion forums and provide timely, constructive feedback on digital assignments.
- Analytics: Monitor learner progress using LMS analytics to provide targeted academic support to struggling students.
- Integrity: Maintain accurate attendance and academic records while upholding high institutional standards.
Qualifications & Experience
For Academic/Technical Roles:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field. A Master’s Degree is highly preferred.
- Pedagogy: Formal training in teaching methodology or pedagogy is a significant advantage.
- Digital Literacy: Must be familiar with LMS platforms (Moodle) and virtual consultation tools.
For Clinical Dental Roles:
- Education: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Diploma/Degree in Dental Therapy.
- Professional Status: Must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika or relevant professional body.
