Role Overview: Network & Infrastructure Management

As an ICT Officer II specializing in Networking, you will be the primary technical authority responsible for the council’s connectivity. Your work ensures that the digital services—from the Admission Guidebook portal to the Award Verification System (NAVS)—operate on a stable and secure backbone.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• User Support: Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot connectivity issues for system users across NACTVET’s regional offices.
• Server Administration: Install and configure standard software and server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) to host institutional applications.
• Hardware Lifecycle: Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of standard computer hardware, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
• System Maintenance: Perform regular updates and patches to existing network systems to safeguard against cyber threats and optimize performance.

• Institution: The degree must be obtained from a recognized and accredited higher learning institution.
• Skills: Proficiency in network protocols, server management, and hardware troubleshooting. Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are highly advantageous.
