Role Overview: Excellence in Information Management
As a Librarian II, you will be at the front line of information organization and user support. Your role will blend technical processing with direct community engagement to ensure the library remains an accessible and organized hub for knowledge.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Technical Processing: Assist in the professional cataloging and classification of books and diverse multimedia library materials.
- User Support: Guide users through literature searches and provide high-quality reference services to researchers and the public.
- Resource Acquisition: Support the selection and ordering process for new books and digital information resources.
- Operational Reporting: Compile library usage statistics and prepare technical reports regarding cataloging and classification activities.
- Circulation Management: Manage the shelving, filing, and issuance of books to library members.
- Administrative Support: Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor to ensure smooth library operations.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
TLSB is seeking organized, service-oriented professionals with a solid foundation in modern library science.
- Education: Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Librarianship and Information Sciences or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Institution: The degree must be obtained from a recognized higher learning institution.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency in information classification systems, and excellent communication skills for user interaction.
