Open Technical Positions

1. Senior Mining Engineer (1 Post)

• Focus: Long-term tactical planning (1-5 years) and budgeting.
• Key Tasks: Developing designs for pits, haul roads, and Waste Rock Dumps (WRDs); mentoring junior staff.
• Requirements: BSc in Mining Engineering with at least 7 years of open-pit experience.

2. Drill & Blast Engineer (2 Posts)

• Focus: Safety and efficiency of explosives and fragmentation.
• Key Tasks: Designing charge plans and initiation sequences; managing explosives magazines.
• Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and a mandatory Tanzanian Blasting Certificate.

3. Geotech Engineer (2 Posts)

• Focus: Slope stability and Ground Control Management (GCMP).
• Key Tasks: Geotechnical mapping, analysis of prism/radar instrumentation data, and advising on wall maintenance.
• Requirements: Degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering with 3-5 years of experience.

4. Mining Engineer (2 Posts)

• Focus: Short-term production scheduling and performance tracking.
• Key Tasks: Issuing daily dig/loading plans and validating production data (tonnes/BCM).
• Requirements: BSc in Mining Engineering with 3+ years of open-pit experience.

5. Senior Mine Geologist (3 Posts)

• Focus: Grade control (GC) and operational reconciliation.
• Key Tasks: Block modeling, wireframing, and leading RC drilling programs.
