Briaco Limited, a premier supplier of Hass and Fuerte avocados and crude avocado oil to international markets, is expanding its operations in the Mbeya Region. We are looking for energetic and dedicated Field Supervisor Trainees to join our avocado operations team.
This role is an excellent entry point for agriculture graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the global export value chain. The position includes a 3-month probation period and offers a monthly allowance to support successful candidates during their training.
Role Overview: Avocado Field Operations
As a Field Supervisor Trainee, you will be at the heart of our supply chain. You will work directly at the farm level to ensure that the avocados harvested meet the strict quality standards required for international export. This role requires a balance of technical agricultural knowledge, logistical coordination, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities & Training Areas
1. Sourcing & Farmer Relations
- Coordination: Act as the primary link between Briaco Limited and local farmers to coordinate efficient fruit sourcing.
- Farmer Liaison: Build and maintain positive relationships with growers to ensure a steady supply of premium Hass and Fuerte varieties.
2. Quality Assurance & Monitoring
- Fruit Quality: Monitor and inspect fruit quality at various collection points to ensure compliance with export standards (checking for size, maturity, and physical damage).
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of harvested quantities, quality grades, and farmer payments.
3. Logistics & Field Coordination
- Transport Management: Liaise with transporters to ensure the timely movement of avocados from rural collection points to processing facilities.
- Logistics Support: Assist in managing field equipment and ensuring that harvesting schedules are strictly followed to maintain fruit freshness.
Candidate Profile: Requirements & Skills

- Education: A Diploma or Degree in Agriculture (or a related field) is highly preferred.
- Location & Flexibility: Must be willing and able to live and work in rural areas within the Mbeya Region.
