1. Head of Business Development and Partnerships

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Department: CEO’s Office
Duty Station: BMF Headquarters – Dar es Salaam

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Head of Business Development and Partnerships will play a strategic role in advancing BMF’s mission by building partnerships, mobilizing resources, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Foundation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with BMF’s mission and objectives
  • Identify new growth opportunities, funding sources, partnerships, and innovative programs

Partnership Building and Relationship Management

  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with government institutions, NGOs, private sector organizations, and community groups
  • Collaborate with international donors, development agencies, and philanthropists
  • Engage stakeholders to build mutually beneficial and value-driven collaborations

Fundraising and Resource Mobilization

  • Lead fundraising initiatives including grants, donations, sponsorships, and income-generating activities
  • Oversee the development of high-quality grant proposals and funding applications
  • Diversify funding streams through private-sector partnerships, social enterprises, and innovative financing models

Networking and Advocacy

  • Represent BMF in public forums, conferences, and high-level meetings
  • Advocate for the Foundation’s mission with policymakers, influencers, and partners

Program Development and Leadership

  • Collaborate with program teams to design initiatives aligned with strategic goals
  • Monitor and evaluate partnerships to ensure effective implementation and impact
  • Lead and manage teams responsible for partnerships, fundraising, and business development

Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure transparent reporting on partnerships and funding utilization
  • Provide regular updates to management, the Board, donors, and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in International Development, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic partnerships and fundraising
  • Strong leadership, networking, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in or understanding of social enterprises is an added advantage

2. Senior Human Resources and Administration Officer

Reports to: Director of Finance and Operations
Department: Finance and Operations
Duty Station: BMF Headquarters – Dar es Salaam

Overall Purpose of the Role

To coordinate and manage human resources and administrative functions, ensuring effective operations aligned with BMF’s goals and policies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Human Resource Management

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff induction processes
  • Coordinate staff training, performance appraisals, and career development
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and employee welfare
  • Handle employee relations and ensure compliance with labor laws

Administrative Management

  • Oversee office operations, records, and documentation
  • Manage organizational assets, transport, logistics, and events

Coordination and Compliance

  • Support internal communication and policy development
  • Ensure legal compliance and staff welfare standards

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Public Administration
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

3. Digital Health Manager

Reports to: Director of Program and Strategic Information
Department: Programs and Strategic Information
Duty Station: BMF Headquarters – Dar es Salaam

Overall Purpose of the Role

To provide strategic and technical leadership for BMF’s digital health initiatives in alignment with Tanzania’s national digital health agenda and data governance frameworks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead digital transformation and health information systems strengthening
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and protection standards
  • Foster innovation, capacity building, and strategic partnerships
  • Integrate digital health indicators into monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Support institutional sustainability and resource mobilization

Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Health Informatics, Digital Health, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Health, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in digital health
  • Strong project management and partnership development skills
