Job Description
TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Fuel Card Executive – Graduate Trainee to join its dynamic Sales Department. The role involves managing customer accounts, driving portfolio growth, ensuring fuel card system efficiency, and supporting the implementation of TotalEnergies’ digital tools and business development initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment)
- Comply with TotalEnergies’ Golden Rules and all corporate HSSE standards.
- Ensure safety compliance among staff, customers, and contractors.
2. Portfolio & Sales Management
- Manage a customer portfolio including both prepaid and postpaid fuel card clients.
- Achieve monthly targets related to portfolio growth, lead development, and new account openings.
- Monitor debt collections and follow up to meet DSO targets.
- Maintain SALSA KPIs regarding customer visits, leads, opportunities, and action plans.
3. Customer Transition & Business Development
- Support customer transition to new service package offers under the “New Ambition” strategy.
- Present and pitch fuel card packages to new customers using lead development tools and the BOOSTER system.
4. Systems, CRM & Technical Tools
- Use systems such as TOMCARD/Tom Invoicing, SAP, TEMC+, and Cross-Border Project tools for CRM activities.
- Report system-related challenges to technical teams via Applicam (TOMCARD) and TEMSI (TEMC+) and follow up on ticket resolutions.
5. Audit, Compliance & Training
- Implement recommendations from TotalEnergies Africa auditors.
- Train territory and station managers on EPT machine handling and fuel card usage.
6. Account Management & Reconciliation
- Confirm postpaid client account balances quarterly and ensure verification letters are signed and stamped.
- Perform reconciliations of fuel card accounts as required.
7. Credit Control & Invoicing
- Prepare materials and participate in monthly Credit Control Committee meetings.
- Follow up on invoice processing and ensure invoices are delivered by the 10th and 22nd of each month.
8. Client Onboarding & Training
- Introduce the Fuel Card System to new customers and provide Extranet training sessions.
9. Tender & Contract Management
- Ensure timely renewal of contracts for all clients in your portfolio.
- Prepare and submit relevant tenders, RFQs, and RFPs based on client requirements.
Candidate Profile (Qualifications & Skills)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- No prior experience required (Graduate Trainee position).
Key Skills and Qualities
- High level of integrity.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Good understanding of MS Office tools.
- Sales and negotiation skills are an added advantage.
- Ability to build and maintain professional business relationships.
