The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS), on behalf of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, various MDAs and LGAs, the Tanzania Prison Service, and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, invites qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for 514 job vacancies as outlined below.
1. FISH TECHNOLOGIST II – (3 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on preparation, processing, drying, and storage of fish and fishery products.
- Inspect and supervise fishery product quality according to national and international standards.
- Monitor compliance with fish and seaweed quality-control regulations.
- Check fish quality at landing sites, markets, industries, and storage facilities.
- Maintain hygiene at fish and seaweed receiving stations.
- Inspect processing industries, storage warehouses, and transport vessels according to HACCP standards.
- Verify documentation related to fish and seaweed production and transportation.
- Perform any related professional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Fish Technology, Marine Biology and Applied Microbiology, Fisheries Sciences and Microbiology, Food Science (Food Technology & Microbiology) from UDSM, SUA, or any other recognized institution.

2. VETERINARY OFFICER II – (19 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide livestock health services.
- Diagnose livestock diseases in accordance with national laws.
- Prepare and implement disease prevention, control, and eradication plans.
- Ensure animal welfare standards are observed.
- Participate in diagnosing wildlife diseases.
- Oversee compliance with disease control regulations and inspection of livestock and related products.
- Supervise hygiene and meat inspection in abattoirs.
- Prepare livestock health reports.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine from SUA or another recognized institution. Must be registered by the Tanzania Veterinary Council.

3. LIVESTOCK RESEARCH OFFICER II – (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct research under supervision of a Senior Research Officer.
- Maintain and update research records.
- Participate in seminars and exhibitions on proper livestock husbandry.
- Prepare research proposals with the supervising officer.
- Perform other professional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from SUA or another recognized university.

4. LIVESTOCK FIELD ASSISTANT – (20 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide livestock extension services.
- Treat animals and prepare reports on animal health, feeding, and treatment.
- Supervise Livestock Attendants.
- Maintain livestock data and reports.
- Inspect the quality of livestock products.
- Ensure animal welfare.
- Perform any related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Form IV or VI certificate plus Veterinary Health & Production (NTA Level 5) from LITA or any recognized institution.

5. ICT OFFICER II – PROGRAMMER – (40 Posts)
Duties
- Plan, code, and test software programs.
- Debug system errors.
- Configure security settings for programs.
- Collaborate with software development teams.
- Perform related ICT duties as required.
Qualifications
Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, ICT, or related fields.

6. RADIOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST II – (70 Posts)
Duties
- Conduct radiological examinations.
- Maintain radiology equipment.
- Inspect X-ray images for diagnostic quality.
- Store patient images until handed to the referring doctor.
- Supervise junior staff.
- Provide expert advice on radiology and radiation safety.
- Prepare medical diagnostic equipment and oversee sterilization.
- Conduct initial training for assigned staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Diploma in Radiology Technology, registered with the Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission.

7. OPTOMETRIST II – (20 Posts)
Duties
- Conduct eye examinations and treatment.
- Refer patients to specialist care when necessary.
- Provide counselling and eye-care advice.
- Maintain and repair optical equipment.
- Make and repair spectacles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Diploma in Optometry Technology, registered with the Optometry Council.
Salary Scale
According to government scales.
8. DENTAL TECHNOLOGIST II – (10 Posts)
Duties
- Take dental impressions and process them.
- Maintain dental equipment and machines.
- Keep records of dental patients.
- Design and fabricate dentures and artificial jaw components.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications
Diploma in Dental Technology, registered with the Oral Health Professionals Council.
Salary Scale
Government scale.
9–13. ICT OFFICER II – DATABASE, SYSTEMS, NETWORK, SECURITY – (Multiple Posts)
Duties (all ICT categories)
- Supervise and resolve system/database challenges.
- Maintain system security, integrity, records, and documents.
- Oversee system maintenance, backups, testing, and restoration.
- Ensure availability of ICT systems and database services.
- Install, configure, and optimize system/database structures.
Qualifications
Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, ICT, or related fields.

14. KITCHEN ATTENDANT II – (1 Post)
Duties
- Clean cooking and dining utensils.
- Prepare tools and tables for cooks.
- Clean dining areas and kitchen surroundings.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks.
Qualifications
Form IV certificate plus Kitchen Operations Certificate from a recognized institution.

15. ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR – DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION – (20 Posts)
Duties
- Teach electrical installation courses.
- Prepare lessons and supervise practical sessions.
- Assess trainees during practice and exams.
- Conduct training needs assessments.
- Prepare course outlines and training plans.
- Develop teaching aids.
- Conduct outreach training and set/mark exams.
Qualifications
Form IV/VI Certificate plus Diploma in Electrical Studies.

16. ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR – MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANICS – (10 Posts)
Duties
- Teach motor vehicle mechanics courses.
- Supervise practical sessions.
- Assess trainees and mark exams.

- Conduct outreach programs.
- Perform any related duties.
Qualifications
Form IV/VI Certificate plus Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics.
