As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the lodge’s visibility, increasing occupancy rates, driving direct bookings, and reducing dependency on online travel agencies (OTAs). You will lead both the Reservations and Marketing teams, ensuring seamless coordination between sales efforts, guest engagement, and brand representation. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in hospitality business growth.

5. Duties and Responsibilities
A. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve occupancy targets across all Planet Lodges properties.
- Drive direct bookings through targeted sales strategies, partnerships, and optimized distribution channels.
- Reduce over-reliance on OTA platforms by strengthening direct sales funnels.
B. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and supervise the Reservations Team, ensuring timely communication, professionalism, and seamless guest experience.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to align promotional activities with occupancy goals.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight to build strong, goal-oriented teams.
C. Marketing & Brand Development
- Guide digital marketing campaigns, content creation, and brand communication strategies.
- Support the planning and execution of promotional campaigns aimed at converting market demand into confirmed bookings.
- Work with external partners, influencers, and agencies to enhance brand visibility.
D. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Use performance data, analytics, and market insights to shape business strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities, guest trends, and market shifts to maintain competitive advantage.
- Produce regular performance reports for management review.
6. Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 to 6 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the hospitality or travel sector.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing strategies.
Skills & Professional Attributes
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet performance targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with data and KPIs.
