Job Description

Kostiv Tanzania Group Limited is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Agronomist to join its agricultural division and support operations at the company-owned avocado farm in Njombe. This full-time position plays a vital role in driving productive, sustainable, and profitable avocado farming practices.

The ideal candidate will support the farm’s daily agronomic operations, monitor crop performance, and contribute to the planning and implementation of orchard management programs. Working closely with the farm management team, the Agronomist will ensure that crop health, nutrient application, pest control, irrigation systems, and orchard records are maintained to the highest professional standards.

This role is well-suited for individuals passionate about horticulture, particularly avocado production, and those who are enthusiastic about applying modern agricultural technologies to enhance yield quality and farm sustainability. Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily agronomic operations within the avocado orchard.
• Monitor soil health, tree development, irrigation schedules, and nutrient management programs.
• Identify, diagnose, and manage pests, diseases, and any production-related challenges affecting the orchard.
• Assist in planning and organizing seasonal and long-term orchard management strategies.
• Conduct regular field assessments and maintain accurate farm data and operational records.
• Support the integration of modern farming technologies, sustainable practices, and orchard innovations.
• Work collaboratively with farm management to improve crop yield, fruit quality, and overall production efficiency.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on field observations and agricultural best practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Science, or a related agricultural field.
• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding or interest in fruit tree management—especially avocado cultivation—is an added advantage.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time at the farm in Njombe.
• Passion for field-based agricultural work and continuous learning.
