Job Description
Airtel Tanzania Plc is looking for an experienced and results-oriented HBB Regional Sales Lead to drive the performance of its Home Broadband (HBB), 5G, and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) products across assigned regions.

The HBB Regional Sales Lead will be responsible for managing sales channels, driving distribution, ensuring customer satisfaction, implementing trade execution plans, and building a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate must have strong commercial acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in telecom or device-driven sales environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Channel Management
- Lead and manage direct sales channels for HBB and FWA device sales within assigned territories.
- Ensure continuous availability of recharge options for 5G and Fixed Wireless devices.
- Develop regional sales strategies to increase gross additions and market penetration.
2. Sales and Distribution
- Drive HBB distribution and ensure sales targets are consistently achieved.
- Ensure timely installations and adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with sales supervisors and cross-functional teams to set and execute market-specific sales strategies.
- Monitor productivity across regional outlets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
3. Customer Complaints & Service Quality
- Resolve customer complaints through coordination with relevant departments.
- Address staffing issues and operational bottlenecks to ensure uninterrupted sales operations.
4. Customer Prospecting
- Engage potential customers directly or through sales teams to understand their needs.
- Recommend appropriate Airtel HBB solutions and communicate customer needs to business leaders.
5. Trade Execution & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with sales policies, processes, and recovery of devices from non-compliant customers.
- Oversee device acquisition health, activation processes, and adherence to compliance controls.
- Execute sales plans accurately and implement timely monitoring to drive desired results.
6. Team Engagement & Leadership
- Train, motivate, and develop sales supervisors and direct sales executives.
- Drive performance management through daily route planning, evaluations, and coaching.
- Address team concerns and execute action plans derived from employee feedback.
- Lead by example in fostering a performance-driven culture.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales.
- At least 2 years in telecom, device sales, corporate sales, or related sectors.
- A minimum of 2 years at middle management level managing independent business units.
Key Competencies
- Strong understanding of telecom market dynamics, competitors, technologies, and regulations.
- Understanding of HBB products, devices, and technology-driven solutions.
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and deliver stretch sales targets.
