Job Description
Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning & Development Executive to enhance organizational performance through strategic, innovative, and impactful training programs. Based at our beautiful Pwani Mchangani resort, this role is central to strengthening staff competencies and cultivating a high-performing hospitality workforce capable of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Learning & Development Executive will play a major role in analyzing training needs, designing tailored learning solutions, and facilitating both in-person and digital training programs. You will collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps, create relevant learning pathways, and ensure employees at all levels receive meaningful development opportunities aligned with both organizational goals and hospitality industry standards.

The ideal professional must be capable of transitioning smoothly between strategic planning and hands-on program execution. This includes leading workshops, developing training materials, overseeing e-learning modules, and managing mandatory compliance training. Strong project management is essential, as the role involves coordinating multiple learning initiatives simultaneously while tracking their effectiveness using performance metrics and return-on-investment evaluations.

To succeed in this position, the candidate must bring strong communication abilities, exceptional facilitation skills, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles. The role demands creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to produce training content that is engaging, practical, and aligned with the high service standards for which Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is known. Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments across departments to identify gaps in staff skills and competencies.
• Develop, design, and update training materials, learning guides, and digital modules tailored for the hospitality sector.
• Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions, and professional development programs for employees at all levels.
• Oversee e-learning platforms and ensure all digital training tools are updated and fully functional.
• Monitor participation in mandatory compliance training and ensure all employees meet required standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using defined performance metrics and ROI methodologies.
• Collaborate with department leaders to create structured learning pathways and career development plans.
• Implement innovative training methodologies to increase engagement and knowledge retention.
• Manage training schedules, track attendance, and maintain updated learning records.
• Support organizational development initiatives aimed at improving employee performance and service quality.
• Provide expert recommendations for enhancing L&D strategies in alignment with business goals.


Job Requirements
• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR operations, preferably within hospitality.
• Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in digital training tools (mandatory).
• Experience in instructional design and development of corporate training curriculums.
• Ability to conduct thorough needs assessments and evaluate training ROI.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for leading workshops.
• Experience managing e-learning platforms and digital learning systems.
• Strong project management expertise with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Certifications in learning and development (ATD, CIPD, etc.) are an added advantage.
