Job Overview

Mowara is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HR Specialist to lead and support our human resources operations in Dar es Salaam. This role plays a key part in overseeing the full HR spectrum, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy development.

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented professional—preferably a female candidate—with strong experience in building effective HR systems that drive organizational growth. The successful candidate will help foster a positive work environment, handle complex HR matters, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and internal HR policies.
• Lead performance management processes and support talent development initiatives.
• Address complex employee grievances and disciplinary cases with professionalism and fairness.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of HR strategies, procedures, and policies.
• Maintain accurate HR records and utilize HRIS systems effectively.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior HR staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• 3–4 years of professional HR experience.
• Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
