Job Overview

Daqing Oilfield Construction Group Co., Ltd. (DOCG) is seeking a highly qualified Civil Engineer to join our construction team in Tanga. This position plays a critical role in supervising and managing all on-site civil and structural works for the Marine Terminal and Tanks Project under the EACOP initiative.

The successful candidate will ensure effective execution of large-scale construction activities, strict compliance with project specifications, and alignment with health, safety, and environmental standards. Responsibilities include reviewing design drawings, coordinating with subcontractors, monitoring daily site progress, and preparing accurate technical reports for project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage civil and structural works for the Marine Terminal and Tanks project.
• Review and interpret design drawings and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of construction tasks.
• Monitor daily progress, quality assurance, and overall on-site safety performance.
• Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve on-site engineering challenges promptly.
• Prepare and submit accurate technical reports and project updates.
• Support project management in scheduling, planning, and technical decisions related to civil works.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in large-scale construction projects (oil & gas experience is a strong advantage).
• Strong knowledge of concrete works, earthworks, and structural design.
• Registration with ERB (Engineers Registration Board) or an equivalent professional body is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to supervise and manage civil and structural works on-site.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Proficiency in monitoring progress, quality control, and safety performance.
• Excellent skills in preparing technical reports and communicating project updates.
• Commitment to strict adherence to EHS regulations and company standards.
