Job Description:
Africab Co. Ltd. is looking for an accomplished and dedicated Chartered Accountant to join our finance leadership team in Tanzania. This is a full-time senior position that requires an individual with extensive professional qualifications, strong analytical skills, and deep experience in managing financial operations in a structured corporate environment. The ideal candidate will play a central role in strengthening financial governance, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving strategic financial planning across the organization.

The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for leading all audit-related activities, including internal audit coordination and oversight of external audits. The role requires strong command of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant international accounting standards. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply Tanzanian tax regulations accurately while also managing corporate tax planning and compliance obligations. This includes preparing complex tax filings, reviewing tax assessments, and ensuring the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements.

Additionally, this role involves a significant strategic component. The Chartered Accountant will collaborate closely with senior management to prepare financial forecasts, guide budgeting processes, and develop models that support long-term business planning. A key responsibility will be the identification and mitigation of financial risks through strong internal controls, comprehensive risk assessments, and robust financial policies. Job Requirements:

• Professional certification: CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent

• Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, risk management, internal controls, and compliance frameworks
• Strong ability in budgeting, financial modeling, and forecasting
• Experience overseeing complex internal and external audit processes
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership on financial performance and strategy
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced accounting software
• Strong ethical standards, accuracy, and professional discipline
