Africab Co. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and technically skilled Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Tanzania. This full-time position plays a vital role in strengthening the company’s financial operations, ensuring proper record-keeping, and maintaining compliance with both internal policies and local statutory regulations. We are searching for an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a high degree of accuracy in daily financial tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger accounts, preparing comprehensive financial statements—including balance sheets and profit & loss reports—and overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes. You will support the month-end and year-end closing activities, assist in internal and external audits, and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards. This role also requires familiarity with Tanzanian tax regulations, statutory payments, and financial filing requirements to ensure full compliance with local laws.

The Accountant will work closely with senior finance personnel to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP platforms is essential, as the role requires handling large volumes of financial data with precision. Strong data management, reconciliation skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders will be key to succeeding in this position.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and best accounting practices.
• Proven experience in general ledger management and financial record-keeping.
• Ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws, statutory compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to manage full-cycle monthly and annual closing processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent data entry accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
• Age limit: Up to 40 years, with readiness to join within 45 days.
